City & Harbor is housed in a beautiful listed building on Nordre Toldbod in Copenhagen. Therefore, emphasis was placed on the stairwell to fit beautifully into the surroundings. When the lift is not in use, the stairs are used as a regular staircase, but it can easily be transformed into a lift when wheelchair users or bad walks are lifted up.
