Specially designed car lift for residential construction in Aarhus C
In the heart of Aarhus C, where space is a scarce resource and architecture sets high standards, JEMA LIFT has delivered a custom-made car lift for a new residential building with underground parking. The project was initiated to ensure easy and safe access to the basement level for residents' cars – without the need for a space-consuming ramp. The client and contractor wanted an elegant and efficient solution that could be discreetly integrated into the architecture of the property, while meeting the requirements for functionality, safety and user-friendliness. The choice fell on an HL‑3000 car lift – a model with a capacity of 3,000 kg, designed for both electric cars and larger SUVs.

The lift is installed in a pit with a depth of 1350 mm, with platform dimensions of 5000 × 3910 mm. It is equipped with an anti-slip aluminium plate, electric control for two stops, and a fully clad lift shaft in galvanised steel that matches the building's façade. Safety is paramount – with emergency stop, automatic door control and programmed sequence operation ensuring logical and error-free operation. We have worked closely with architects and technicians on site to tailor the solution so that it fits naturally into the building, both technically and aesthetically. The lifting speed of approx. 0.05 m/sec enables quick access to the basement, and the installation has been carried out with a focus on both operational reliability and future maintenance.
The project in Aarhus C is yet another example of how JEMA LIFT, with more than 40 years of experience, delivers customised solutions that create value – both for users and builders.
